Huge fan of the Colt .380's - used to have a Government Pocketlite - made the mistake of selling it!! Great gun and great holster!!!

No doubt about it IMO. Be willing to bet you can not find a better holster at any price or better customer service.

That he does. Only a few more weeks before I get my Maverick maybe in time to put under the tree Isn't Kevin out in your neck of the woods? Would be great to have a chance to see some of all he has in one spot

Hey George, real nice. That is cut to ride nice and high. I wonder if Kevin can make other pistols ride as high as that ? Even a slightly larger pistol, with a 3.5 or 4" barrel, cut at the same height, should ride relatively high.

Please let us know how it tucks in against the body, and if the holster is steady, as it looks like the package could be top heavy, with so little of the gun below the belt.

LongRider and Waynefi, I have worn the new holster only a couple of times so far. It will usually be worn when I wear a suit or sport coat. I wore it all day last Sunday. The grip of the Mustang was held tightly to my body at about the same spot the S&W 1066 is held by its Laredo. I wear it at about 5 o'clock and the grip ride right in the indentation above my right kidney. The Mustang does not come up as high as the Smith does.

I had wondered about how it would ride with so little surface below the belt, but at 5 the lower part sits right on my hip and the grip is tucked in fine. The back wing section extends further than the one on the 1066 holster does and puts some more surface below the belt. Evidently this helps too. You can see in the photos below that there is a good bit more surface on the Mustang holster to help offset the effect of not having much weight below the belt. Good design work from Kevin.

I just got my wife to take a couple of photos of the Laredo on my belt. I apologize for the overhang in several directions, but I'm almost 60 and middle age spread has taken over. In the first photo the Mustang has the 7 round mag with finger extension and in the second the regular 6 round mag.

As you can see it tucks in tight enough for my uh shirt to fold over the grip. I think I'll try to trim a little before I do any more photos.

George, great pictures. What a nice concealable package. The .380 pistols really are a nice size. That is what I find interesting about the new Walther PPS, not much bigger the the PPK.

Thanks for the pics and input. Always impressed with Kevins work, custom for every gun he does. Did you see the lizard grips he did for that 1911? Wonder how elephant grips would work?
