Glock 23
Is there a "best" Glock 23 IWB holster for civilian CCW use?
Thanks.

I don't know about the "best" for you, but until I got my CompTac MTAC for my Glock 27, the best for me was a CompTac CTAC. Great quality, adjustability, and fast shipping.

That's like asking what's the best shoe for your foot. Can't be defined so conveniently.

I bought a comptac "infidel" for my G23... I havent used any other IWB since.
There is no "best" as there are tons of options out there.

My CompTack CTAC has a kydex sweat shield that digs into my side if I carry the holster empty for any length of time, it that's a concern for you, but it offers easy holstering of the gun, and stands up well to daily use. I prefer a leather back with a kydex sleeve attached to it. You get the comfort of leather combined with most of the reholstering easiness of kydex.
Thus, my G23 carries well in "The Answer" model from Tucker Gunleather, a two-clip tuckable IWB. |

If cost is a concern, check out Don Hume (mentioned by another in this thread as well). I carry my Glock 26 in a DH IWB holster that was $25. To me, for $25 it is an outstanding value, and I have one for each of my pistols.

Exactly what I have, for exactly that gun. Works great, and comfortable. Personally, for the Glock, I wouldn't consider anything else but kydex. Prefer leather for my SIG

Yes there is... the problem is, we don't all agree on what it is!
![]() When I carried a G-23 I used a Milt Sparks VersaMax-II and it was very sweet indeed! But I do confess prejudice, I carry all my CCWs in a Milt Sparks VersaMax-II! Here's what it looks like with the Glock 23: ![]()
