I agree with Mr Kaneley.

If your at the point where you have to draw, a motorcycle is not going to outrun any bullets. If you can ride away before it gets to that point, then great, do it.

But if it is time to draw, then drop the bike, pull your heat and be ready to move and fire.

I also know how easy it is to pick up and start an 800 pound Harley. I think I have to have hernia surgery because of doing that once.

I carry on my bike, but honestly it's for when I'm off my bike that I carry. There's isn't anything on four wheels that will outrun my Ducati. Evasion is what I practice. I can bust ultra quick uturns and swerve in and out of traffic much better than a car.

Same for my "weedwhacker" as it's referred to at work. Something my dad taught me when I starte to drive (not ride): always have an out. I don't pull up on people's bumpers and I usually am turned so that I can see if I'm going to get run into and hopefully get out of the way quickly enough.

So if I want to be safe when I drive around while CCW, I need a fast motorcycle right? HEY! THAT'S WHAT I'M TELLING MY WIFE YOU SAID! Dear Santa, I have a slight change to make on my wish list...

I was just kidding in my previous post.(or was I)

But in all seriousness, I don't have a bike at this very moment, but agree that taking off from a situation would be my first choice, as nobody would be able to keep up. Esp since I ride 1k Jap bikes. I carry everywhere so on the bike would not be an exception.

+1.
I can't envision needing to draw while riding. Maybe pull an evasive maneuver and ditch the bike if I had to(then draw if situation still warrants), but shooting while riding???
I could be wrong, but someone needs to define a scenario where pulling and shooting while riding would be your best option?

I pocket carry a J-Frame while riding.

i have a zx6r, and wouldn't carrying at 4 o'clock be weird? i would think you could see the gun too easily. who knows how many times my shirt has accidently come up in the back when i was riding.

but, i do agree with the above posts the crotch rocket guys gave, i think i could outrun most 4 wheeled vehicles especially in traffic.

I always wear a jacket when I ride (yes, even in hot weather) and always have my Tomcat in my right hand pocket. God forbid I should ever need it.
