Just that. I'm looking for a nice gun belt to use with my "honda" and "acura" belt buckles. What is the "standard" belt size? I use a dickies walmart special right now,...

you seriously have a honda and acura belt buckle? that is funny. measure the size of your dickies belt and go from there.

I just am looking at my options for "gun belt" and none of them are exactly aesthetically pleasing.

Well, dress belts are usually 1-1/4", and casual belts are usually 1-1/2". You can get obscenely large gun belts (2+"), but most of the good makers do 1-1/2". I just recently got mine from The Beltman. Strong, stiff, double-layer bullhide reasonably priced and took only a couple of weeks. He attaches his buckles with screws precisely so you can swap them out for your own buckles.

At the worst, I figure you could send him a pic of your current buckles (taken next to a ruler or tape measure, I guess) and he could let you know if that'll work with his products.

Yea I understand, I'm a vw owner, so half of my clothes half that logo on it, but no belt buckles lol. Anyways, the beltman belts are definitely really high quality and even though they are pricey, they'll last for years.

I have belts by the Beltman, Mitch Rosen and Bruce Gibson.

Of the three I like my Gibson belt the best, but each belt serves a purpose and you won't go wrong with any of them. The less exspensive version of the Mitch Rosen belts can be purchased at Dillon Precision if you are in a hurry.

KAZ gave good advice. You should be able to easily replace the buckle, as long as the belt width is adequate. Most buckles are attached by snaps or Chicago screws a the end of the belt. +1 on Beltman Belts.

Yeah, I'm trying to find a "normal" looking belt as well. Doesnt seem easy to do. I'll look into beltman, IIRC the website says he doesnt reccomend using "aftermarket" belt buckles.

OK, This is what I did for my first gun belt.
Take your favorite "dress belt". Buy another leather belt. buy Gorilla Glue. Apply Gorilla Glue per instructions to one belt. Wrap both belts aorund bucket but do not "double-up" buckle area of belt (for me an ovalled out 5 gallon bucket worked). . Allow glue to set. You now have a double thickness belt while maintaining your "favorite" dressy belt as your outer/visible belt. I have a nylon (forget brand) "real" (read "manufactured") gun belt and my belt creation is more comfortable than it is....and plenty stiff and thick.
Laminations are stronger than 1 single thick layer. You could also install a thin layer of a stiffener in the area where your holster would be but I didn't think that was necessary and for the 2 belts I chose for construction it was not necessary.
No wait time and its my design.
And by not doubling up the buckle area I can swap buckles as often as I want.
