I have tried it with a Glock 27 and a holster designed for appendix carry but I find it's not too comfortable, especially when sitting down. Maybe if I was one of those skinny guys...

IMO A-IWB is superior in close quarter work, draw speed and retention. Not so great in the comfort department when seated. Benefits outweigh the negatives so if I am carrying IWB that's where I put my Glock.

Trebla
I have carried a 37-2, 442, 640, 640-1, and 642 by way of Appendix carry. I am currently carrying my Kahr PM45 Appendix style and it is very comfortable.

Appendix carry was very uncomfortable for me...tried it.
Have grown accustomed to IWB at 4:00 or IWB 'palm out' at 5:30...both are perfect for me!

Kahr MK9 in Comp Tac 2 o'clock

I have carried my Kahr MK9 a few times in appendix position in a kydex CompTac 2 o'clock holster. It works fairly well, and the gun is short enough (3 inch barrel) that it doesn't dig into the thigh when seated. The short grip also conceals well in that position.

I think a big advantage of appendix carry is the speed of the draw. You can use your weak side hand to lift your cover garment and draw with your strong hand, which you can't do in a 4 o'clock carry position. It also works well while seated, because the gun is not squeezed between you and your seat back.

But it only works if you have a fairly flat stomach.

If I carried appendix, it would be called the modified horizontal carry. Muzzle pointed to my innards, grip pointed to my adversary.

It is a no-go for me.
