Premium holsters (in stock)?????

My question is probably answered some where on here. Can anyone provide some names of dealers that keep custom high end holsters in stock. My primary carry is a g23. I just hate to wait 6+ months for a holster. By "high end" I mean, Alessi, Sparks, Mitch Rosen, Del Fatti, etc. I am not meaning to degrade any one's favorite holster maker. I am just talking about holsters you can get right away, like a Galco or G&G, or Hume versus an extended wait time for a truly custom job.

My lead time is running 4 to 5 weeks. So take a look.

Your options:

1. Go to each of those holster maker's websites (except for Alessi, who has no website. a) see their ready-to-ship page or call them and see what they have in stock, b) check their listing of stocking dealers.

2. Call these places and see what they have in stock:

http://www.lightningarms.com/products.htm
http://www.holster-connection.com/ht...ress_line.html (express line only)
http://www.gunnersalley.com/category...osen_holsters/

ETA: http://www.topgunsupply.com/VM2-GLOCK-c-34.html

3. Check eBay and the larger gun boards religiously every day. I scored two Alessi holsters (one for G19, one for G17) recently that way.

What you want is what we all want but for the most part, unless you're prepared to pay more than retail you get on a waiting list and use something else in the meantime.

I have picked up a couple holsters on e-Bay but paid more to have them now.

Being the winter season, it's a good time to order IWB holsters because you can get an OWB holster to hold you over till your order comes and thus not duplicate your order with two IWB's. Just a thought.

There are places such as Lightning Arms and Coal Creek Armory that stock some custom leather, but the G19/23 is a VERY popular carry gun and leather for those guns do not stay in stock very long. Some makers do have an "express" line which cuts down on the lead time. Also like already stated, stay on top of the classifieds on the gun boards. Also, you could order from your favorite maker and pick up a comp-tac to hold you over, but you might like the comp-tac more and then cancel the custom leather. Anyway, good luck.

There are a lot of quality holster makers on this forum...many take 6 months to a year.

I you want a quality holster, fairly priced, in 3 - 5 weeks, seek out Fist, Inc...

Go the Related Links above...find holsters...find Fist...

Costs nothing to look!

Stay armed...stay safe!

But you'll get boned today as opposed to 80% boned in 12 months.

Time is money.

My answer was to go ahead and order what I want knowing about the wait. I also purchased an interim holster to use from a less "popular" maker but one that I feel is very good. Unfortunately the holster maker I made my purchase from doesn't make the style I wanted. But I will use that holster for OWB.

Good luck on finding one without waiting. I don't think it's possible.
