Best open top holster for P220R?
I've just recently acquired the 45 of my dreams. SIG P220R-TSS-SAO.
I'm not a fan if ITW holsters. I've been eyeballing the Don Hume H721 O.T. I have been searching quite a bit, I have a three slot pancake holster for my large Glocks, and like the ability for crossdraw once in a while. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Suggestion. Whichever holster you decide on try and find one with a skin shield/guard.
I think the 220 really needs one. At least mine does.

I got a C Tac thinking I was getting an M Tac. My 1911 was really tough on my skin. (I hate to wear undershirts." The hammer and spur really hurt after a while. The company provided great service and I hated to sent it back. So I went to a friend who owns a shoe repair shop. He glued a small soft piece of leather and it works great. It covers the "hurting parts." The piece he glued on is too big, (deliberately) and as soon as I have more experience with it I will probably trim it a bit. |

Yeah---the Don Hume holster has that. Good suggestions and I did think of that in particular!

A few other good choices are the Milt Sparks 55BN, the Galco Concealable and the Kramer Belt Scabbard.

The Don Hume you mentioned is a good one. I personally like the Galco Concealable model as it seems to present the perfect draw angle for me.
