I've got an order pending with Kevin, and when I was communicating with him back in September he mentioned that he had a backlog then of 550 holsters. With all the publicity he's been getting lately that's likely to have increased. Actually, 4 months isn't that bad in the custom holster business. Milt Sparks is quoting 20 to 26 weeks and Lou Alessi quoted me 24 to 30 weeks! But without a doubt the good stuff is worth the wait, so the sooner you order the sooner you'll get it.

Matt del Fatti currently has a 2 year wait. I am happy waiting 14 - 16 weeks for Kevin's work.

I just got off the phone with K&D....I wanted to make sure there weren't any problems with my order as my card was charged about a month ago and I hadn't seen or heard anything yet. I was hoping there wasn't an issue with shipping or something like that. But I was assured that all is well, they are just behind a bit and are trying to get caught up. Its been great dealing with them so far, and a 4 month wait is fine by me, given the quality I have seen. Kevin called me back within a few hours (although I didn't answer, he left a voice mail) and then I returned the call this morning.

A 2 year wait on an order, even for a complete custom order, is just too much for me. Del Fatti was my first inquiry for my new holster, and his stuff looks top notch, but I could be carrying a different gun by the time I got it.

I use teh C clips on mine and am happy. Kevin called me back as well to answer questions on retention and reholsterring as there is no steel band to keep it open. The leather is thick enough to hold its form. Kevin told me this and experience has proven him right.
