C-TAC vs. M-TAC

I have a CTAC for my 1911. I'm about to switch my EDC to a Glock 19, so I need a new holster. I'm wondering whether I should go with another CTAC or try the MTAC. I don't have any problem with the kydex against my bare skin (when I do go without a t-shirt), which I know is one knock on the CTAC. Overall, the CTAC has been very comfortable, though the metal rivet on the forward strap does bother me at times. It also moves around some. ... It is sounding like I should try the MTAC. I guess my main concern is thickness. I'm already adding width by switching to a Glock, I don't want to add more with a thicker holster.

Has anyone tried both holsters?

In AZ the heat can be something huh? I've had a CTAC for awhile now and I love it! My only 'negitive' is that, as my first kydex holster, it got a little uncomfortable in the Georgia heat when outside and about. Since shorts and an untucked tee shirt is standard dress when it gets warm I ponied up and got an MTAC. I love it! The leather is considerably more comfortable.....and you can switch out the shell to carry both of your sidearms if you need too. I use and wear both holsters and the tuckable feature of both of 'em is a big plus.....but I'll go with the leather in the heat.

......That and the MTAC isn't much thicker and I make no 'adjustments' when switching up.

Yeah, AZ may be a "dry heat," but when it is 110+ - it's hot! There are a lot of days when I'm in shorts and an untucked t-shirt - and several more when I have to go with some form of long pants, but still just wear a t-shirt.

I've always wondered about the kydex/leather combo ever since I heard about the Tucker Answer. I guess I'll give it a try.

I'll add that I have switched the standard clips on the CTAC with the "C" clips for a little more 'stelth' and use the CTAC when I 'dress up'...especially when tucking a shirt in....it disappears. The MTAC is now my 'dress all' holster when I'm just out.....it does go with me a little more now than the CTAC.

Do you have the new style of standard clips on your MTAC? They just look so long. If you have them, how are they? I suppose I could always switch out my old style for the new.
