Need concealed carry advice.
I recently picked up a Kahr PM9 and will be carrying it with a pocket holster. I've ordered a K&D 2-in-1 pocket holster and it looks like I'll be using the back pocket option mostly. Sometimes the pocket carry option may not be the most comfortable/convenient though.
What other carry options do I have when I'm just in jeans/shorts and t-shirt/polo type shirts? I usually need to tuck my shirts in so I'm wondering how I can get an IWB holster to work? What other options are out there? Having it IWB looks to be the most comfortable and easiest to get to but again, can I conceal properly with tucked in shirts? Even if I go untucked (or tucked with a shirt/jacket over) how do I avoid exposing the Kahr when doing various activities (riding motorcycle, playing with kids, golf, etc.)? Thanks for any input. |

Well I think you could find thousands of threads about this on a search, but I will give my choice for a convenient way to carry no matter what gun or clothes you have, and no matter what activity you are doing....but a smart carry...
www.smartcarry.com probably on the mega holster sticky thread.. well worth the money, and comes with a money back guarantee...

Thanks Doc,
I'll checkout the big thread. The smartcarry looks nice but it doesn't look like I'll be too comfortable when sitting with it on, especially on my bike. Probably a dumb question but is it a pain to relieve yourself with the holster hanging in the way all the time? Maybe I just need to buy some really big clothes. Thanks again. |

Galco makes a UDC or USA for the Kahr. It will allow inside waistband carry while keeping a shirt tucked in. My Kahr disappears with one..

Thanks for the input everyone,
I checked the Galco site and couldn't find a UDC/USA(?) holster for the PM9. Ankle carry won't work with shorts and when I'm in jeans I usually have my riding boots on so that won't work either. Maybe I need something like this: http://www.kahrshop.com/cgi-bin/item...asp?itmid=1687 All I'd need to do is lift my shirt to get to it, plus I could carry an extra mag. I guess the downside is that it will probably be digging into my gut and may be a little irritating on sweaty days. It may print too much through lighter shirts also. |

Check out Andrews Leather for a front pocket carry, also does rear pocket "wallets". Here's my Kahr MK40 in a front pocket.

I'd give you advice, but that would entail looking at options that span the imagination. Besides---I'm still learning myself. Take some of the advice from others here, and build upon that. Experiment at home, in front of the mirror, with different attire, with different hardware (this would be your pistol[s]), different software (this would be the holsters), etc............... Once you have something you feel comfortable with--take it to the streets! Good luck in all your endeavors.

Upon request, these folks:
http://http://www.grandfatheroak.com/Stockdesigns.html will make a "tuckable" version of their Hidden Companion for you. That's what I bought from them, and it's what I use most often with my PM40. I usually just use it as an IWB, with a cover garment, but I have tucked shirts over it, and it works just fine. If you snap a medium-sized keyring into the belt loop, no one will even give it a second thought. |
