Belt Question
Long ago someone was telling me about a leather belt that was made like a barrel hoop, narrower at the top and wider at the bottom. This was supposed to make the belt very stable and very comfortable.
Has anyone else heard about this, what do you call it? Thanks |

I call it a gun belt. I have a couple Galcos and a couple more from holster makers. You want one the size of the loops in your holster.

Holdcard, you're talking about a contoured belt as opposed to a regular straight gun belt. Galco makes them, and I'm sure some of the custom makers probably do too. I don't use them, so I don't have a lot of info about them.
Here's a link to Galco's page for one of the contoured belts: http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterP3.asp...&CatalogID=254

That does sound like a contoured belt. They're the same width throughout, but cut on a curve. They usually cost more because they use/waste more leather. Just imagine cutting a curve versus a straight line.

After I wear a belt and sweat a lot it takes its own contour. That of my out of shape body.
