Coal Creek experience

I have read, made comments, about particular holsters over the past several months. Today I called Coal Creek Armory. They treated me very well, were courteous and helpful. Looks like I'm going to get my Brommeland holsters fairly soon. One Max Con for an XD, the other a Kahr. Wish you all a happy New Year.

I give CCA and A+ as well. They are a top-notch retailer. I wish everyone were as prompt and ethical as Coal Creek.

Does this mean that you cancelled your order with Gary directly? I remember from a year ago that you were waiting.

I bought my MaxCon V from Coal Creek last week. I called and asked if they had it for the XD 45 Compact. They did, and the gentleman I spoke to was nice enough to hold it for me until I could get there on my lunch break.

Happy New Year, sgjr. Glad you will be getting your holsters soon. Sorry it took a runaround through CCA. Kind of ironic that CCA would deliver when the maker himself would not. I remember commiserating with you a year or so ago. Congratulations on the incoming leather!

Robb,
It is a relief to be past this situation. I have learned a lot over this, mostly how important communication is!

sgjr,

It looks like I'm expecting relief as well. If my order can't/won't get filled, at least I can get on with another maker.

Please try to stay on topic to the thread.
The thread topic concerns personal experiences in dealing with Coal Creek Armory.
They have proved themselves to be a highly reputable Internet Company.
The guy that owns the company is a good, honest man.
He does not deserve any misdirected anger.
In addition they do super nice gun work there and they are very pro-gun and pro-shooting.
Just FYI ~ There are already two wide open holster complaint threads running on DefensiveCarry.
Two is enough.
Please try and refrain from spreading the complaints and personal grievance comments all over the forum especially if they are off topic to the thread.
Thanks.

Interestingly enough, CCA does not stock holsters for the 3.5" barreled 1911. Oh, well. Maybe somebody's trying to tell me I don't need one.
