No appendix carry for me...too uncomfortable...I just cannot imagine sitting down with that mode of carry.
![]() But then others would find SOB (really at 5:00-5:30) uncomfortable, but I don't even know it's there...even when sitting. Just shows that everyone is different...do what works for YOU! Stay armed...comfortably...stay safe!

In force on force training, it's pretty much been proven that appendix carry results in faster draws on target.

I prefer appendix carry for my j-frame and short autos. I did, however, just get an MTAC for my M&P40c and it is one comfortable holster.

If I do go IWB with the 442 it's at appendix. My thoughts on appendix holsters;
They need an adjustable cant (like an Andrews MacDaniel) to find the perfect fit either forwards or back. Since it's a one point attachment, they need a solid wide offset loop and not a clip that may pop off when sitting. Absolutely must be a minimalist holster with no extra length or bulk at the end of the barrel area /bottom of holster. The end of the barrel needs to be flush with the bottom of the holster.

I like to carry appendix alot of the time like when I'm at work. I am a pressman and on my feet all day with alot of leaning into my presses, bending, squating, etc. With all the bending over anything from 3 o'clock and back prints pretty bad. Appendix works great for these times, however I totally agree with semperfi.45 in relation to what the holster needs to work properly. I would buy one that meets the criteria.

Thanks, everybody for the feed back and advice. I have one more question: It sounds like a lot of you are very specific about where the gun should be carried - would any of you mind taking a picture holding the firearm in the position you prefer for carry, to simulate how the holster would have to hold it? Thanks again,
Jeff

I'm rather rotund and can't appendix my P99 but I would buy an appendix carry for a PPS. I believe I could tolerate some minor discomfort while sitting for short periods of time. But I would like it to be easy to attach to my belt so I could slip it on after removing it. I drive quite a bit so easy removal and putting back on would be a big plus.
