Leather creak

I love leather. I love the leather holsters I have. Anyone ever notice when you're in a really quiet place, and talking to someone while you're moving around---and you can plainly hear the sound of your holster creaking? Is it something you would think the other person or persons can identify? The sound of your holster creaking with movement? I really noticed mine today while I was talking with a jeweler over the counter. In a quiet atmosphere, it's highly perceptible for me, and can't be easily ignored. When i do hear that sound, I then try to limit my movement. So do you think anyone else notices? It must be a new sound to some and peek their curiosity----right? Just give me your thoughts on this as I know some of you can't help but have noticed the same as me.

I get that too...very dependent on the holster design. If it's bad, there's the candle wax trick.

Candle wax or baby/talcum powder will do the trick. Just don't get carried away with it!

There are a couple of previous threads from a while ago on this. A couple of our local holster makers left suggestions.

Here's one with multiple ideas

I can just blame it on my belt. It has squeaked since i got it. And it just a single piece of leather. However, it is not nearly as bad as it was when I got it.

I use saddle soap on all my holsters and belts and squeaking isn't an issue and it keeps the leather in great shape.

My holster creaks a bit - but its none of anyone's business why I creak when I walk. For all they know I'm wearing rubber underwear.

Thanks all---and the links help too. It's not a cheap holster IMO, my DeSantis three slot for my SIG P220. I might try the wax idea before anything else.
