Officer safety updates are useful, as no one had time to search all the time to find the latest and greatest in concealing / hidden weapons. If you have your CCW I doubt most PD will care if you use a 32 oz. Cup O Gun to carry your pistol in. (although they may snicker alot).

Yeah..I got the same email.

Its too interesting to not pass on. Anyhow, if you've got the permit, how you conceal it dosent matter.

Great idea. Now, what other everyday items can be converted to an impromptu holster?

They had one of these at my local range a couple of weeks ago. The form fit a cup tightly, and has a magnet to hold the gun competely upright. The magnet does not inhibit the draw. The top (with straw) can be swept off and gun drawn very quickly! Not getting one, but they work quite well, and make a quick access during a carjacking!

I think that I could potentially see a practical use for this item....maybe...

I can picture it now.

"Officer, I'm legally armed *or your variant of it*."

"Where is it?"

"In my cup."

Hmmm.... a variation of "my cup runneth over" maybe. In contemplating the long standing debate about external safety's and practice so one does not forget to sweep the safety off prior to firing - what happens when you go to draw your gun but habit takes over and you hoist it to your mouth and take a dry sip from the straw????

Hi.
I love both the cup holder, and the under the table idea - but my three year old - who want's to attend MIT next year has told me they are both to easy for her to find.

"Daddy, what do you mean I have to go to bed now, don't make me go under the table, and start waving that 45 around again!"

Rick.
