Tucker Iwb Holsters: No Reinforced Mouth?

I am thinking of buying a Tucker IWB holster for a 3" revolver. On other posts, however, I have read that these holsters do not have a reinforced mouth (steel or leather). If true, I suppose that it is done to enhance concealability.

Without the reinforced mouth, however, isn't there more friction on the draw? I would also think that the holsters would lose their shape faster. It also means two-handed reholstering.

Can you tell me if this is true.

In a daily defensive carry, you insert your gun in the holster in the morning and take it out at night. In the event that you have to draw the piece in self-defense, you won't be trying to reholster it, it will be on the ground when LEO's get there. A reinforced mouth holster is great when practicing, and in fact, I use one daily. But don't be afraid of a thin holster for daily carry if it fits you better! I LOVE Tucker's work, my OWB is his HF1.

Are you looking at his Cover up model?

If so, the mouth looks similar to the DM Bullard Dual Carry Conceal that I use for my 2.25" SP101. The unreinforced mouth conforms to the gun above the cylinder and does help concealment.

The draw on mine is slick as snot. I'm not an LEO so I'm not too worried about a two-handed reholster.

Just my opinion.

If you're looking at a Tucker IWB that's easy to reholster, one-handed, consider the Answer. Very comfortable, without a steel-reinforced opening to add bulk.
