So I've been thinking about starting to carry my P7, but before that I want to have it refinished, I'm thinking Robar NP3, so it while it's going to be out for a while, I'll have plenty of time to shop for a holster.
While there's a few threads of P7s, and a few holster pics, there's not really a thread with different options for P7 holsters. So far I'm thinking about an IWB Canute from UGB, and a OWB Avenger style from either Boom Stick Holsters or Haugen I'd love to get another VMII, but with the cost of refinishing the gun and 3 mags (once I buy two more) and the wait time from Milt Sparks, I'm looking to other options. Without further rambling... SHOW ME THE LEATHER! |

Here ya go JD.
I had my P7M8 refinished by Robar as well. I think you'll be pleased. This particular carry rig is a Del Fatti ISP-LP with single mag pouch in cordovan. Be advised, that I did not purchase this directly from Matt, I went through Craig and Audrey at Lightning Arms. Hope this helps.

I currently have a Comp-Tac for my P7M8 but am waiting "patiently" for Del Fatti to deliver my leather holster.

I couldn't be happier with my P7. I rarely carry anything else anymore. Had mine refinished with Melanite by Drakes Gun Works -2 or 3 weeks if I remember correctly ( his partner is an HK amorer). My holster is an IWB by Turner Gunleather. Good holster, long wait , fwiw....

Honestly the only two holsters i would even consider would be a delfatti and a K&D . Given the expense and wait time Kevin at K&D is the only option so i went there and have a thread up here on my custom . I highly recommend you give him a call .

I had a Del Fatti ISP-4, but it didn't seem to hold the butt in tight enough. Personally I think the belt needs to be higher. I am skinny, so I'm sure that doesn't help.
I placed an order with K&D the other day, and I may try another holster in the mean time.....I'd like to try the Alessi PCH, the angle of the loops looks like it'd hold the butt in no matter what. |

Here's a pic of my VM2 (cowhide) the day I got it in.
![]() As far as refinishing, I am very happy with my NP3'd P7. If however you prefer to keep you pistol black (off black), look into the 'Melonite QPQ' finish. It's properties are similar to 'NP3' but the finish is harder and it is not quite as 'slick'.

Thanks for the pics guys, keep 'em coming.
The K&D rigs look great I'd love to have a Defender or two, but due to personal reasons, Kevin will not be seeing one dime from Lima and I, and that's all I'm going to say on the matter in the public forum. The Alessi CQC/s looks promising, I may have to give Lightning Arms a call, I wonder if they have any VMIIs in stock, I love it for my 1911s, so I can only imagine that it would be wonderful with a P7. |
