C. Rusty holsters
I was thinking of getting The Gochenour Extreme High Ride or US High Ride for OWB. I have been looking for a holster that truely rides high.
Anyone done business with this guy? C. Rusty Sherrick Custom Leather Works - Custom Concealment Holsters I have my IWB solved. But I am looking for a great OWB leather high ride holster for my Glock. |

I haven't personally done business with Mr. Sherrick, but I have had the opportunity to meet him. He's a nice guy. He makes holsters and other equipment for the PSP. A friend has some of his rigs and they are of good quality and build. I have considered getting a holster from him but he uses horsehide; my girlfriend is an equestrian.

I have and he is one of the best! All his rigs are only available in horsehide and the workmanship is top notch, same long waits as the rest unfortunately! The rig I have is the "Call Sign Impact" for railed 1911s.

Wouldn't you know it his domain expired. I was going to get some opinions on a couple of holsters - ah well, as soon as he renews the domain I will chime back in. Does anyone know of some extreme high ride OWB leather holsters?

There are lots of high rise rigs available and a lot of makers should be able to adapt any scabbard or pancake they make. Just have to ask, thats the nice thing about a "custom" rig.

For extreme high ride OWB's, I like the Mitch Rosen UPL. I have the UPL Express, which is their more economical holster. It is still the same quality leather but without all of the handboning. It is also half the price and I received mine in a couple of weeks instead of many months. It is a very good deal.

His website is working fine now. I have a Sherrick belt scabbard type of rig in horsehide, made for a Seecamp, that is a work of art. I acquired it pre-owned, so I have never dealt directly with the maker.
