I love my SmartCarry, it works well for me and I'm a guy with no stomach.

To get rid of the buldge caused by the butt of the gun, I position the butt in the waist band where it is covered by my lose fitting belt.

I have no problem drawing but I practice with my unloaded gun.

Great review

Looks like it will conceal pretty well on you. My question is, can you wear it all day sitting at a desk, or in a car, or on a unicycle?

havnt tried it in a car yet. i was sitting in a chair most of yesterday when i got it- no prob- the barrel is short enough.
i havnt tried uniing. actually havnt gone in a year or two :(.,
but my guess would be no. at least not the mountain unicycling, which is what i tend to do. with a unicycles curved up seat + jumping around + large metal object = not a good idea.

lol, looks like it'll work for you. I use mine when I'm going places where people would completely freak if they knew I was carrying. I just don't want that reaction. Some complain that it isn't that comfortable, but I'll sacrifice some comfort for security. I think that from looking at the pictures it conceals well. I carry my xd sc in it and its not noticeable, but then again I'm 5'7'' and 220 which puts me a bit overweight, so it makes concealing a bit easier for me. Nice review by the way. These product reviews really do help a lot and are great contributions.

I can conceal a J frame comfortably with my Smartcarry, but my 3" Kimber was just a little to thick.

When I got those thin Alumagrips in my sig, it got much better. I still have problems with the safety sometimes, but overall it feels much better.

Now upon seeing this, my wife wants one.

Thanks!

Nice demo on the smart carry...still not something for me...couldn't sit down without major 'damage'...
If it works for you...go for it. Some don't like SOB carry either, but for when I use that method...I never know it's even there (that includes sitting)...go figure?

Stay armed...stay safe!

The SmartCarry I have is nearly due to be replaced after two years of almost daily wear.

I tend to place the butt of my J-frame just under the zipper of my jeans to help conceal the printing. I've worked home construction, played 18 holes of golf, yard work, changed the oil all with this setup.

Practice drawing with an unloaded gun. It is different but not unusually so. My "move" with a SC is if confronted, I would place my fingertips in my waistband, a non-threatening position, touching the gun butt. I can draw fairly quick from this position. I like untucked shirts, but with a dress shirt tucked outside the SC waistband in the rear but inside in the front, access is easier.

Thanks for the review.

I have been wearing a SmartCarry 24/7/365 for over two years now.

You might want to try moving it to the left a bit, so the grip is a bit more centered. This will help with the bulge from the grip and also make the draw "roomier".

If the left side of the holster then rubs your thigh too much, try tucking the bottom-left corner of the SmartCarry under itself. If the tucking helps you can put a few stitches in it to make it stay better.

I found that I had to wear mine and adjust the position from time to time until I found just the right spot. This try/adjust thing took me a about two months to get just right. Once it's done you'll probably forget you're wearing it - I do.

Also, once I got the Velcro strap adjusted to the correct size for me I don't undo it anymore. I just slip it over my hips or shoulders to remove it.

Thanks for the review and the pics. I have one for myself. If my wife ever decides to exercise her rights enumerated on her LTCF, i will have this post ready and waiting for her.

Again, thanks for sharing review and pics. The pics will be able to convey more to my wife about this option than me trying to sell or explain it to her.
