I have the MTAC coming in next week ( already shipped ) for my P228. I have previous experience with this holster and think highly of it. Also you might check with Andrews Leather Andrews Custom Leather. Sam is the owner and I believe he carries his Sig 220 in a McDaniels II. I like the McDaniels II and have it for my 1911. Good Luck.

I have a sig 220 but would never carry it with the hammer cocked as seen in the photo. Maybe I'm not familiar with that model , but as far as p220,226,228,229 as far as I know its best to "de-cock" to carry. Please dont take this as being critical, just an observation. ![]() |

Thanks for the info and picture!
A cocked and locked sig might be a nice new toy to try out!! A trip to the gun shop might be in order, if my beautiful wife lets me! ![]() |

Thanks everybody for the helpful advice. I guess right now I'm looking at the UGB "Canute" or the Andrews "MacDaniel II". Any opinions on which is better: one snaploop or two? I've worn holsters all my life "on the Job" before retiring but never an IWB type. It would seem that two loops (like on the Canute) would afford more comfort/stability/security than one loop (like on the MacDaniel II) but I don't know.

Definitely two for a heavy gun like a Sig.
Just got a Canute for my 228, absolutely beautiful work at a great price. Carried my 220 in either a VMII or Concealco, the latter being cheaper and faster to get, not to mention thinner. |

I definitely prefer two loops like the Milt Sparks VM II. I have a Galco NSA (single loop alongside the trigger guard) and it is not nearly as stable as the VMII. I also have a Sparks Summer Special. Since the loop is in the middle, it's more stable, but still not as secure as the VM II.
YMMV. Ken |
