I just ordered a MacDanielII last week for my 229R. He had them in stock and it shipped out immediately. I'm hoping it is waiting for me when I get home today.
I liked the single clip with a torque plate. A second snaploop seemed excessive. It also seemed counterproductive to the MacDanielII which has a torque plate to pull the but of the gun closer into your body, the butt is the hardest part to conceal(most noticeable because it sticks out), so this is why I went with the MacDaniellII model. If you search for that model in the forum you will read nothing but rave reviews about the holster. Images taken from someone else's post, they helped seal the deal for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The MacDaniel II Was the first good IWB holster that I acquired. It is for a G 26. An IWB is normally tight enough so that the single loop is sufficient. However, you can make it shift and change the angle somewhat.
I do not find it unstable, but if absolute max stability is desired then the double loop holsters are preferable. Jerry |

That McDaniel II sure does look good. But my 220 is a fairly heavy piece and I still have some concerns about stability. Too bad we can't just diddy-bop down to our local sporting goods store and try them on...

True. It has the rough side of the leather out to help. I just couldn't bring myself to get a plastic holster. I gotta have leather. And the torque plate made a ton of sense to me.

Agree with the folks who prefer the loops spread out. Does not bulge at the loops as the Galco will and pulls the weapon in closer to the body for better concealment. Own A Milt Sparks VM II for my full size SA 1911, owned a HBE Leatherworks and now am packing my SA Champion in a TT Gunleather IWB. Very similar to the Sparks but received it within a month / cost about half as much and I'll put it up there with the higher priced holster MS any day of the week. Recommend you buy now as Tim's business TT GunLeather High Quality Leather Gun Holsters is going to skyrocket once word is out. He has a mold for your SIG. Disclaimer: I am not related to or am in kahoots with Mr. Thurner. The guy just makes a KA holster.

IWB for 220 "Carry"
I have been using a Bianchi Professional # 100 since 2002. It not only protects me from the slide, but also protects it from my sweat in the summer. See Bianchi-intl.com Good luck !
