recommendations of crossdraw holster for xd 40sc
I haven't received my CCW yet. However I plan on carrying both my G23 strongside and my Xd40 (as BUG) in a crossdraw holster. I have been using a SERPA for the 23 and XD (which prints like crazy). I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation on a crossdraw holster for this weapon.
Thanks |

That's quite a back up gun... I like these folks: High Noon Holsters Milt Sparks Holsters El Paso Saddlery I have an outstanding order with: CrossBreed Holsters, Innovative holsters for concealed carry-1911-Glock-HK-Sig-Taurus-Kimber-Springfield-Colt-XD I've heard nothing but good things about crossbreed so I'm looking forward to receiving my order. Highnoon doesn't have much that would work as a good cross-draw, and I think you'd need to talk to crossbreed about your needs.

Contact DeSantis and request they make the sky cop for the XD. I am hoping they will if enough people want it. I have 2 of these for other guns and love them. But so far they do not make one for the XD.
Here is a link to show what it looks like. Sky Cop™ |

I would say to contact Kevin at K&D, but he has decided to stop making holsters for Springfield products unfortunately. Thankfully I got my Dakota Defender order in for my XD before he made this decision.

According to posts on another forum Kevin at KD is indeed making holsters for the Springfield XD. He just no longer participates in the forum.

Last thing I read on xdtalk was that he was no longer accepting orders as I posted above. I went over there today and noticed that he changed his mind as you posted above.
So, to the OP, talk to Kevin at K&D holsters. I have a Dakota Defender on the way for a XD40SC, at the 14 week point now, hopefully I will have it in the next few weeks. Then I just need to go ahead and buy the gun. Mike

Wazzup, are we to assume that you're only considering OWB rigs? If so, I believe you are unnecessarily limiting your options to overcome your printing problem. There are a ton of comfortable, highly concealable and easily accessible IWB holsters out there these days, some leather, some Kydex and some that are made of both. If your main concern is to eliminate (as much as is humanly possible) printing, you really should look into some of those options.
If you're not limited to OWB, then the aforementioned Crossbreed is a great solution, as are Comp-Tacs, K&D, Raven Concealment and almost any custom makers, as long as you're able to wait quite a long time in most cases. Blues
