New Leather, Dye wearing off
I received my first custom made leather holster last week, on Thursday to be specific. I wore it all day on Friday and had the black dye wear off all over my undershirt and the inside waistband of my pants. It is an IWB holster.
This being my first leather holster, is this normal and will it stop? I don't want to get dye all over my clothes every time I wear the holster. |

I have several (4) dyed leather holsters and none of them have stained anything...

Who is the maker? Give them a shout. But also give us a heads up too! Thanks

Yeah, I have several IWB leather holsters and have never had a problem. I would give them a ring and make them aware of this. Your custom holster shouldn't ruin your clothes.

I intentionally did not mention the maker, as I have read lots of positive feedback about the product. That was a factor in me buying from him in the first place. I will reach out to him and keep you all posted on what I hear.

I got a call from the maker and there appears to be a problem with the top coat finish on my holster. He had called a local supplier and purchased a product for me to apply. I will go pick it up this afternoon and that should resolve the issue. I have to say the customer service here is AWESOME. I sent him an email with the problem and he called me to address it within an hour. Nate with UBG Holsters is terrific and I would definitely buy from him again.

Seems like it's all but done. Glad it worked out well for you. It's always great to hear about quality customer service. It's a shame but it's almost rare in today's world.
