In my experience the revolver butt pointing forward in the crossdraw position creates a concealment problem. Doesn't work for me.

Also consider the temtation presented to a BG facing you. The BG has better access than you would. Also, most ranges will not allow a holster that requires the muzzle to sweeps nearly 160 degrees from holster to target. ![]()

I agree it is much easier to be disarmed in a cross draw and does pose a saftey issue with "sweaping", plus with more movement comes a much slower draw. I would also think it would make for a much slower target aquisition.

I used a Bianchi "Cyclone" crossdraw holster years ago with a 4" Ruger Security Six. It was easy to access while seated, easy to conceal with a jacket and allowed a fast presentation. But, as mentioned above, make VERY sure you have retention (NO Open Top or Speed Cut Holsters) because a non-retention, cross draw holster allows the easiest, fastest, least defendable GUN GRAB potential imaginable. A US Marshall (friend of mine) made me a complete believer in the necessity of RETENTION built into my holster.
