I am a proponent of a good belt also. I usually wear a Wilderness but I just picked up a Levi's 1.5" from Kohls for under $20 and it works great.

My first Beltman belt arrived yesterday (after about a 3 week wait). All I can say is WOW! I thought I had a good belt, but boy was I wrong. This new belt holds my IWB holster in place much better and makes it much more comfortable to wear. I know there are plenty of you out there saying "I told you so" and I don't disagree. I'm very pleased with the new belt and already considering a second one.

I know you said you are low on funds, but I wouldn't "skimp" when it comes to the Belt. It is the "foundation" of the carry system, much like the foundation of a house.

If you absolutely can't get a Milt Sparks Belt then my second choice would be a Bruce Gibson Belt. The reason I recommend him over the Belt Man is because I have not tried my Belt Man Belt with a Milt Sparks Holster. I have used my Milt Sparks Holsters with my Mitch Rosen Belt and my Bruce Gibson Belt.

The Belt Man makes a good Belt, don't get me wrong. I'm just going with what I have personally used. I do have one of his Belts, but have used it with different Holster Makers products, not Sparks.

Blackhawk makes a pretty good belt at a decent price and currently have a 1.25 Black "lizard skin" belt on sale for $25.99
See Here (available in size 36"-42")

Be aware that some of these super-heavy-duty-lined-with-kydex belts will never take your shape. I was stuck with one that was nothing more than a solid loop around my waist. Terribly uncomfortable. I went back to my Sparks and Brommeland belts and there I'll stay.

I have two of the Wilderness Instructor's belts and they are great for 5.11 shorts and jeans. I have been looking for some new 'dress' belts and I think that after looking around, the Beltman seems to be a real deal...we'll see.

Stay armed...wear a good belt...stay safe!
