More Crossbreed love...Concealing a 1911 (Picture intensive)

Before finally breaking down and buying one, I had many doubts about my ability to conceal a full size 1911, much less being able to carry one tucked in under a casual shirt.

Seems like the more I read over various forums, the more I run across people like me that think a 1911 is too much gun to carry day in and day out. That's what led me to create this thread, proving that a 1911, even a 5 inch, is one of the most concealable weapons on the market. Concealability boils down to *thinness*, A strong point of the single-stack 1911.

Of course, a good holster really does make a big difference. I highly recommend the Crossbreed Supertuck for daily carry. It's no beauty queen, but it truly is a "lunch pail" type holster that just WORKS all day, every day.

Looks great, hides as well as my husbands Crossbreed. He also wears a full size 1911. Glad to see another happy user.

Really does a good job of concealing, I'm impressed.

Thank you for the very informative photos. Please consider switching to Wranglers. Levi Strauss is one of the largest corporate supporters of gun control in the country.

Thanks again for the photos.

You know, I can't pick up two pairs (in the same size of course) that fit the same? The light-weight ones are the worst for carrying IWB if you've got a holster that put any weight on the pants waistband. I did have a pair of 10-12 oz. ones that saved my hide (literally) when I highsided last summer. I still wear them to remind me it's over in a few seconds but the pain lasts. On a similar thought stream, the crappy straight-cut Levis are too baggy in the leg and sit too low on the waist for comfortable sport-bike commuting. Wranglers, here I come...

Pretty impressive how well that conceals.
