Mtac, with standard clips is what I use daily.

If you are tucking - then go with the V or velcro clips. They are stealth and hold very well. I had no luck with the C clips. If you are not tucking - standard should work just fine.

Well my 2c is I like the Crossbreed a lot better !!!!!!!!!!! in fact I sold my Mtac as soon as I could. Once you pull the gun out of the holster it collaps and then you have to fight the gun back in.
The Crossbreed does not do that...

I have a M-Tac and overall I'm happy with it. However If I was in the market for a holster for my everyday carry gun I would not hesitate to get the K&D Dakota Defender.
K&D Holsters | Custom Gun Leather and Shooting Accessories

The one thing I don't like about the M-tac is the kydex. It dose not offer the flexibility that I wish it had when carrying at 3:00. The Dakota Defender is all leather and it seems to me would offer more flexibility and comfort all the while costing $10.00 less.
Would I replace my M-tac right now? No, I am overall happy with it and the customer service from them is incredible. The K&D just seems like it would be a better fit for my build.

The C-clips work great for me. They hold tight and do not pop-up or ride up on the belt as some have experienced. I am sitting in my recliner with it on right now. No complaints. I have a decent belt, 5.11 1.5" black dress belt, nothing special made (soon oh mighty belt-man,i keep putting it off) and it works for me. With my arms at my side, the tops of the clips are covered, so there is just a little lip at the bottom visible with my shirt tucked in. I clip my cell phone at the first clip, so it is virtually invisible and I don't care about the rear clip. I will be buying a new kydex as soon as I pull the trigger on a new XD, and I will definitely be buying the standard clips, the longer skinny ones.

I need to get some new pics w/ the 5.11 on...The belt in this pic is a 1.25" belt.

V8, I had looked at the defender also, it just seemed that the mtac was thinner. You mentioned fitting your build better, I'm 5'5 and a 34 waist (yea, I know). As far as price, 10.00 difference won't break me. My plan is to try and prevent the "big-o-box" of holsters syndrome......if poss. Thanks for your and everyone else's replies.

FWIW, I carry my K&D over my MTAC. But the holsters are very different animals. The gotcha with the K&D is a significantly longer wait. You can get an MTAC pretty quick, the K&D is a fair wait (although much less than many of the unobtainium holsters).

All the more reason to love my Crossbreed SuperTuck! If there's one thing I can't stand, it's having to fight to reholster.

I have just received the crossbreed. I am using it for an HK. Seems ok except that the rough leather seems to irritate my skin after a short while. Hopefully it breaks in or I may have to buy the mtac due to the extra leather on the inside. I am also looking for the same style for a stainless SW model 60 revolver. It appears that mtac doesn't make one for this so not sure what to do there. Can anybody tell me if kydex does much damage to the stainless or will the marks polish out. This gun looks really nice and I have polished it to picture perfect shine, so I don't want to ruin it.

The Tucker 'Answer' is another holster in this style. No direct experience, but they have a good rep.
