XD 45

Thinking of goin to go pick up a skyops holster for my .45 and was wondering if anyone could or has any insight on fit and concealment.

It's great concept, with the "invisible" clips, but they are hard to fit on the belt. My friend had one and he couldn't get it to stay put. The belt has to be the perfect size to match the clips. You might want to order a Galco belt with it so they are matched.

That was the first holster that got added to my holster drawer. I didn't like it for some of the same reasons that Mtbiker didn't. With a good gun belt it might be ok.

i love mine. i have one for my g27 and my xd 45. nice thick camo belt from walmart cost me $3.00 and i have yet to have a problem with it. buy a new holster is $$$$$$ but a belt is a lot less.

you shouldnt have a problem with it. me, my pops, and my gf all have a skyops.

i picked-up the skyopp holster a few yrs. back, imo ok holster
but for a while it"s been sitting in my collection drawer collecting
dust. some holsters we know work for some and others don"t,
ofcourse we all know that. oh well. still seaching for the one that works
best. i"m open for suggestions (now that warmer weathers coming) iwb
for my g-27. looking at a c-tac.thanks inadvance for any input.

this might be a good time to ask. thanks again.

I have a Galco Skyops holsters for my Sig P239 and my Glock 19. They are comfortable and makesthe gun near invisible, esp. with the black clips on a black belt. A few points to consider, though:

1) The belt *must* be 1-1/4" wide. Any narrower and the belt could slip out of the clips, any wider and it will not fit. Beltman.net has such belts.

2) The holster is all leather, with nothing to keep it open once you draw. So re-holstering means undoing your pants and re-holstering (at least for me, maybe you can figure out a better way).

3) The grip of the gun almost rests on top of the belt, so getting a firing grip when drawing can be tricky.

That said, I like the holsters and regularly use them for both the Sig and Glock.

I bought one about two years ago. Pro: The tuckable feature of the holster makes for decent concealment. Con: It moves around and the cant changes too much for my liking.

Gun goes in holster, holster goes between inside waistband of pants and skin, shirt goes between holster and inside waistband of pants. I tried to draw a pic and confused myself.
