Cell phones, sheathed folders, pagers, glasses cases, tape measures, and a bunch of other items carried on the belt also produce a 'bump'.

"Printing paranoia" is something I suffer from as well....just check yourself in a mirror before you go out to be sure you're not "advertising". It's impossible to not bend in certain positions and have a squared butt show occasionally...
I was with a buddy of mine once in an office "box store" and the idiot took of his jacket, completely forgetting he was wearing his shoulder rig! Nobody in the store said a word....assuming he was LEO, and allowed to carry as such. As long as you're in the right and in possession of your CWP, you're fine. |

I open carry (STILL have yet to get my CCW - C'mon and process my app already!!!) and I carry strongside @ 4 o'clock with one mag in a mag carrier on my left hip. My neighbor was talking to me on day at my front gate. He mentioned and pointed at my left hip and said "that looks like a gun." He NEVER saw the real gun on my right hip in plain view. True story. Lumps and bumps be darned, most people can't see a gun when it's in the open if you act appropriately. |

The more I carry, the more I realize that all of the "sheeple" comments are right.
Sad, but true. I also discovered that the first time you "open carry" (in Va there are times you HAVE to OC... specifically if where you are serves alcohol) , it makes CC much less worrisome. Once you walk around a bar all night with a paddle holster, and nobody bats an eye... a little crease on your butt doesn't get you worried. ... Nobody get Flame-happy on me. - Yes, I was the Designated Driver... No I wasn't drinking at all.

I'm also to the point that I really don't care about printing some. In Tennessee, it's a Handgun Carry Permit, not a concealed weapons license. I choose to carry concealed because it causes less of a stir at the grocery store or the bank.
Maybe I'm too lazy to have all the 'cool' cover garments, but mostly I like wearing my t-shirt and I like my OWB holsters. |

They probably did notice, just didn't mention it. You were at a gun store, after all. ![]()
