SmartCarry Snagging on hammerless j frame!!

I am using the proper smartcarry for my S&W 642 but the gun snags on the upper--right side of the holster on the trigger guard. Any ideas?

The pocket might be too deep, try using cotton in the bottom of the pouch, to lift the firearm a bit, and position it better in the pouch.

I find that the Smart Carry inhibits revolver draw by catching on the cylinder rather than the rear of the triggerguard, but in any case, it's not a good CCW method for revolvers for me.

I have all three sizes of Smart Carry, and find this to be a problem irrespective of size.

I'm quite disappointed that the smartcarry stinks for revolvers.. It seemed like it would have been perfect.....

don't give up so soon...I carry a 642 in a smart carry most of the summer when camping, hiking etc....you just have to move the gun around some, then adjust the pocket...use a safety pin if necessary like the directions or website says

I carry my Taurus 605 in my Smartcarry and don't have any problems with it snagging.

I've tried it drawing different ways and the only time it is difficult to draw is when I'm not wearing pants (or I am wearing sweats). I think the pants provide enough friction to hold the Smartcarry in place when I draw.

I carry a .380 in my Smartcarry for work and it does draw better (when not wearing pants). Maybe you need to place the butt of the pistol under your waist band. That way you have the wasit band to catch the holster when you draw.

My EDC is a Taurus 85 with concealed hammer, and I've had no problem with snagging.

That's weird. I've got no problems with my hammerless SW 442 with CT laser grips. I think I would make a call to Smart Carry. 1-888-459-2358 or (727) 581-7001.

Well, they sent me the wrong size initially, so the gun was getting stuck in too much fabric.. New one on the way ( the right size) so hopefully it'll work!

Meanwhile, try the safety pin adjustment method. I use this method to stage the magazine I also carry with my automatic.
