Well, I noticed that the same seller "trueiq" has 4 M. Sparks holsters listed on Ebay right now...plus he or she has sold others - so I'm guessing that person is black listed now.

These things have a way of super-saturating themselves out on Ebay AKA the "good times" rarely last forever.

If MS actually found out an idenity for this ebayer - then I would say a friend would be elected. It could be hard to figure out if they are all common holsters.

I'll take the wait time if there is one before paying that much for a holster.

There is a wait tme for a Sparks holster. Both of the ones I got took right at 20 weeks.
They're WELL worth the short wait, though!

Two of the holsters that "trueiq" has up for sale are initialed by an employee that hasn't worked for me for over 2 1/2 years. So they were purchased at least that long ago. One of the other holsters is in a bag with a lable and we only lable bags that go to our dealers for resale, so he didn't buy it directly from us. I ran a database check on Seal Beach, California (where the items are located) to see how many of our customers hail from there and there's only a couple, neither of which fit the purchase profile of the items up for sale.

I do know by searching our database and by process of elimination who the seller of the $535 holster is, but his order history tells me that he was probably just selling a holster that he no longer needed and I don't have a problem with that.

I put the new policy on speculative ebay purchasers on our site to discourage people from doing just that and to let them know what to expect if they get caught. The obvious perpetrators are the easiest to catch (and I have caught and cancelled the orders of more than a few) and they are the ones that tend to unnecessarily clog up our backlog, which is the reason I instituted the policy to begin with.

Kudos to Tony for not immedietely jumping on the ebay seller's back for selling those holsters!

I would never condone speculative selling as it creates an unfair backlog for all the honest people who are truly waiting for a top notch holster but at the same time, I wouldn't blame anyone who want to sell a holster he doesn't need or want anymore for whatever amount of money as the market can bring. Not saying that buying a holster for $535 is smart at all though; but I guess someone really wants it that bad.

Again, Tony my kudos for being firm but fair and not quick to judgement!

As I started this thread initially, I was thinking.... What if someone posted a Sparks holster that they no longer needed up on Ebay. Perhaps it is not their fault that some crazy nut bid it up to $535, should they be banned from ordering Milt Sparks? I certainly agree with banning people out to make profit selling multiple holsters for pure profit but what about the one guy who sells a rig he no longer needs that ends up selling for way too high? Is it really the sellers fault?

I agree!
At least for now, we still live in a capitalist society . I think those should be able to do as they please with their holsters. Just as Tony should be able to sell or not sell to whomever he pleases.
