A leather holster in the summer

Summer hit here in Portland with a vengeance. For the first time I carried without a t-shirt on, just a polo shirt. Well, the leather on my skin is not the most comfortable thing in the world.

I was thinking of sacrificing one of my old t-shirts and cutting out a patch to put between the holster and my skin. Just wondering what others do in lieu of a t-shirt to protect their skin from the leather holster.

If I am not wearing an undershirt, I'm not wearing any shirt, regardless of weather.

This solves the FL heat problem. I always use leather IWB holsters...a 'wife beater' under any T-shirt keeps the leather away from the skin and eliminates the problem.

Stay armed...in the heat, with a T...stay safe!

I've always hated that name for that shirt. I prefer to call it an A-shirt.

You could try one of the Under Armor types too. I got a generic knock off & it works well. It also wicks the sweat away from you.

Some form of undershirt is the best way. Another short term solution is baby powder yourself and the back of the holster.

Hope this helps.

I never heard of it as a shirt. What is it?
Thanks,

Visualize a larger grumpy middle aged man with a beer, growly voice wearing a tank top style undershirt sitting on a recliner watching wrestling...

Wait, that is a lot of my relatives.
