IWB (Preferably Tuckable) for Detonics Combat Master??

Hello All,

I was wondering what options will fit the Detonics Combat Master. I really like the look of the MTAC but after calling them today I was told that it won't fit.

Any advice?

Thanks

Det_CM, we have a Detonics collector over on the Indy Gun Owners forums. I'll ask him how he carries since I know he prefers an IWB holster.

I'll get back to you once I have an answer.

We can make any of our rigs for the Detonics 1911s. And for railed 1911s for that matter as that seems to be another gun that is not well supported among some other makers.

Thanks

Not tuckable but they have a really nice IWB and one for the Combat Master with only a 6-8week turnaround time for a custom holster!!!

Reinforced mouth IWB Holster

Anything that will fit a 3.5" 1911 (Officer's ACP/Compact) will fit the CM as long as the rear sight will clear the top of the holster. I don't know of any tuckables, but here are some IWB thoughts.

Nate from UBG holsters (index) made one for me that I like.

The guys over at the Detonics Collector's Forum (Yahoo! Groups - Join or create groups, clubs, forums & communities) seem to like the kydex Grandfather Oak Hidden Companion (Stockdesigns) a little over 1/3 the way down. The leather guys there seem to like the KISS holster by Rod Kibler. It's not listed on his website, but there's a picture on the Detonics Collector's Forum. It looks like a Milt Sparks Summer Special with one loop instead of two.

Here's the response I got.......

Quote:
I use the same holster for Colt Officer's Models, Para Warthog and Para Carry 9 as Detonics Combat Masters. The issue that that the Detonics has a slightly a longer slide than the Para guns so if the holster has a closed muzzle then it won't fit well. My CTAC holds my Detonics fine. I wore a Detonics all day today in a Cross Breed built for a Colt Officer's model.

There is another POSSIBLE issue with the Detonics and that is the rear sight. If the holster has a very tight fit across the slide then a Colt Officer holster may hang up a Combat Master because of the Combat Master's rear sight placement, but I've not had that issue with any of my holsters, it is just something that MAY be an issue.
