J-Frame IWB Help Needed
Hello fellow CCWers. Happy Independence Day! I carry a G19 or G30 every day in an MTAC. I also have a 642 that I carry on occasion. I have OWB and pocket holsters for the 642 but would like to get an IWB holster for t-shirt carry. My Glocks are just too big for this most of the time so I use button up shirts with them. I have read past threads on this and here are my thoughts:
1. I want something that can be worn under a t-shirt only and not print too excessively. For this reason thin is in! 2. Reinforced mouth is not mandatory as I put the gun and holster on as a unit and reholstering will not be a big issue with a gun this size. 3. I have a few picked out. Comments and experiences on these are welcome as well as other options to consider. High Noon Mr. Softy Soft, pretty simple design. ![]() Don Hume 715-M - Thinner leather, which is good IMO. ![]() Dillon/Maverick Tuckaway - Not a big fan of nylon, but it looks like deep concealment and might be comfortable. ![]() I also had the CTAC on the list but it has been removed due to it being a little more bulky. So let's hear it! ![]() |

I have a Canute, and a Nassar from UBG. They're both nice holsters, but I like my High Noon Slide Guard OWB the best for T shirts. I'm tall with some beer gut, and it hides great a little in front of my hip.
The Canute IWB snap loop works great with an unbuttoned suit coat, and the Nassar clip on is for when I know I will have to take it off. I think OWB tucks in tight to the body, but no cylinder grinding on my hip. |

I'm starting to lean away from the High Noon and more toward the Don Hume. No more than the Dillon holster is ($15) I might just get both and see which one I like the best. All opinions still welcome of course.

I've used the Don Hume #715, no complaints.
Good choice.

The IWB's I was debating on for my 442 were -
Andrews MacDaniel ![]() AKJ Concealco ![]() Little Feather Leather LFL-110 ![]() After talking with Lou Alessi I went with the APX that I hope I should have soon. It has a slight reverse cant that I like for AIWB. I also like his Talon clip so I won't need a belt for such a light J Frame. Lou is currently quoting 20 weeks, I'll review it when I get it ![]() ![]()

You will be very happy with your Don Hume purchase. The quality is first rate. I have a belt and a J.I.T. holster that I am very pleased with.
