Thumbs up My MTAC came! First impressions...

My first MTAC holster came today. Now I already own a Crossbreed Supertuck which pretty much everyone knows is the same basic design as the MTAC with slight variations.

I pulled it out, slipped it on and wore it around the house for a few hours with my P229, and it rocks! It is more comfortable to me than the Crossbreed, yet the crossbreed is a little easier on my slide finish. Retention was a little tight, but a quick adjustment with the provided wrench fixed all that. Best part of all was that it arrived in 4 days!!! I ordered it Sunday night late. It arrived this morning (Thursday) at 10:15 am! That is impressive by any standards especially using their standard shipping option.

All in all...WELL worth the money and it will become my EDC holster. Now its just time to order a couple more shells for it so my other guns don't feel neglected

Matt

It is my everyday holster. Very comfortable. Add some pictures.

So if you already own basically the same thing in a Crossbreed Supertuck, why the purchase? Was the Supertuck for a different gun?

It's called holsteritis - I have it too. Watch out or you may catch it. Problem is I need to have several holsterectomies.

If it had to be a one or the other MTAC vs Supertuck, which would be the keeper?

Side by side comparison would be super nifty.

I received mine yesterday too. Had my own thread on it and posted pics in the "show us how you carry" thread. It certianly felt a little awkward at first having never carried IWB. But now today, I don't even know it's there. Adjusted to it very quickly.

Don't get me wrong my primary carry is Comp Tac due to comfort and design. THE ONE downside is the screws. I have had screws on my MTAC as well as the mag pounches fall off. I don't have any BLUE Loctite therefore I've been using my better halfs NAIL Polish and they still seem to come undone.
