XD 45 4" Holster

I just bought this gun and I want a holster to wear around on my land, not necessarilr you CC. I would like an OWB with snaps so I dont have to take my belt off to put it on and off. Any recommendations. I would like something I can get right away, dont really want to wait 6 months for a holster..Thanks!

Hmmm..shouldnt be too hard. Most places I go into that have a good supply of gun stuff usually have a decent selection of either/or Galco or Blackhawk products. Galco and Blackhawk both have at least one model of holster that fits your requirements.

I noticed all the pawn shops in my town have both of these brands on the shelves as do most of the sporting goods stores.

I carry my XD in a blackhawk serpa - it came with both a belt and a paddle attachment - I suspect the paddle would be appropriate for your use.

Galco also makes a x-project holster that uses two snaps to attach to your belt, I have one and it works OK.

I use a Rocking W holster for my XD. It's an OWB, but it doesn't have snaps.

I would think that 'snaps' might be easy to "take off', but would be hard to put on. ie, hold holster on hip with one hand, reach around with other hand to work 'snaps' behind belt, etc. Might a paddle type be quicker and 'easier'? Just my $.02 worth.

I have 2 other holsters with snaps just like that for a PM9 and a P99C and they work just fine. I can easily put it on and take it off with one hand.
