Holster for a small guy
I have been looking for a holster for a while now. I am 5'6" about 130lbs and only 30" in the waist. The gun I will be carrying is an XD 9mm Subcompact. I was thinking about getting the Supertuck, but I am worried that It will take up half of my back (i am planning on wearing it at about 4 o'clock). I was also looking at the K&D IWBs but I can't wait 14 weeks. Does anyone have some suggestions? Is there an awesome holster for small people out there I have overlooked? Maybe I should get a single clip IWB and wear it at 11ish?
Thanks guys, Monkey |

Monkey,
I am 5-10 150 LBS with a 32" waist. I carry a Glock G33 in a comptac CTAC holster at 4:30. I can conceal using just a T-shirt, granted the shirt isn't skin tight. Here is a thread with a pic of my setup and me wearing it http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...e-has-one.html Have you considered a CTAC?

I am also 5'6" and I wish I were 130 pounds. (I am actually 150 lb and losing very, very slowly.) I carry a Glock 26 which is very comparable to the XD subcompact. I carry mine in a MTAC at about 4:30 to 5:00. As comfortable as it gets. I also just got a High Noon split decision which also works. It prints less, is just as comfortable but has some stability differences as it is held in place by just the one clip.

Have a look at Cross Breed Holster's. They conceal real good and you will forget it is there.

You young guys have it made with the baggy shorts. I'd look like a very old wanna-be thug if I wore something like that. Take advantage of it, use it for all it's worth!

I'd like to recommend that you look at the HBE Leatherworks web site and call Eric. His lead time right now is 2-3 weeks. I just bought a COM3 IWB from him and from day of order to being at my door it took under 3 weeks and the work is superb! Are you looking for IWB or OWB? If OWB, consider the one he makes that has one belt loop on the BACK of the hoster and the other on the wing. It's good for small waisted folks.

Take a look at Milt Sparks. Matt Del Fatti, Mitch Rosen and Greg Kramer. They all make Holsters and Belts that will work for you.
I'm waiting on a Del Fatti ISP4 for my Glock 19. I don't like or use "tuckable" Holsters, but that's just me. I do have a CTAC but I don't tuck it. In fact I don't use it right now because I have a couple of other Holsters that meet my needs better. BTW: I'm about your size and I carry a Glock 19, a Glock 26 and a S&W 442 if it's an Autoloader day. Usually though it a Ruger GP100 and an SP101 with the 442 along for the ride. Biker ![]()
