I'm looking for a good kydex or leather pocket holster.

I bought an uncle mikes pocket holster and I don't like it.

I'd like something stiff, and thin for my Taurus 85.

Any suggestions? I see a couple members here have taken up holster making as a hobby, does anyone wanna make me a holster?

Kydex I found to be easy to work with..

I did not want to make one for myself but a maker talked me into trying it for myself and I'm glad I did...

Here is a link to a how to the he (Rich) has posted..
Procedure For Forming Kydex - Steyr Club Forums

Or he seems to like to to one offs for people so give him a call...

Good luck..

Fist...

Fist...

Go to related links, go to holsters, find Fist...check out their Kydex #5 Pocket Holster...
Check out the thumb-push, best thing since sliced pie. I have about 4 of these...hugs the thigh, will not tip in the pocket, very thin, the holster never comes out, easy re-holster...a perfect setup.

Stay armed...check out Fist...stay safe!

I have used a MINI-LAW pocket holster for years with a variety of handguns. It always stays put when you draw and it doesn't print. Even though it is burnished from use it still stays in the pocket when the gun come out.

I am 5' 10" and with normal levi jeans it holds my Ruger SP101 deep and straight. I have added Trausch grips and even though they are larger than the originals they ride just under the top pocket hem and do NOT print at all.

That FIST is exactly what I had in mind with the push piece. I'm not sure about $40 though.

I also saved the link to the steyr forum. Very usefull info. I may have to look into that further. Especially to make shot shell holders, knife sheaths, mag carriers, flashlight holders.

I do prefer the "wing" to prevent tipping.

Another think that I can't figure out. Most of my pants don't have very deep pockets, so I only have a couple pairs that I can actually pocket carry in. I am a big guy too. Are the pockets on skinny guy jeans deeper? Or do you pocket carry guys shop for deeper pockets?
