Holster v Beltloops: Holster winning!

I need input. I need a different holster than my Desantis Speed Scabbard (SPEED SCABBARD) for my Gov't 1911 (5"). I really like it, the cant, the slim profile and the draw but I have to skip a belt loop when I carry! I am no longer my sveldt self and need my belt hitting every loop it can! It doesn't matter what I wear - cargo shorts, suit pants, utility uniform pants or jeans - everything I wear has a loop that must be skipped (at 3:00 to 4:00). The Desantis is 6" from tip to tip if I wear the holster with the cant. When I skip a belt loop (under the holster), the weight of the gun pulls my pants down a bit too much. I don't look like a homie with my boxers showing, but it isn't secure enough for my liking.

A friend suggested I switch to my Bladetech (kydex) but it doesn't maintain a thin profile and it has no cant. The JIT slides back & forth and my other holster doesn't secure my weapon either. Any suggestions from my sage friends?

You should be able to wear your holster without skipping any pant loops.
You'll need to go through one slot on the holster - then a belt loop then through the second holster slot then the pant loop.
See whatever combination of holster slot & belt loop works best per style of pants that you're wearing that day.
In other words instead of skipping that pant loop - get it threaded through under your rig then come up through the second holster slot.
It's a bit more of a Pain to get your rig on but, if you're going to wear it all day then it's not too bad going through a little bit of extra aggravation once per day.

Learn how to sew and relocate or add your belt loops where needed. Just my opinion....it's what I would do.

I thought about relocating the loops, then looked at how many different pants I have. Granted, I won't need to modify all of my pants, but suffice to say the project would still be enromous. I tried QK's suggestion and it works and makes a HUGE difference in comfort and function. I will, however, ask the tailors at Men's Warehouse to factor this issue into tailoring my next suit and casuals. Thanks for the help - both suggestions work.
