I wear an IWB and a sport coat and tie. I usher and and take the offerings so I am regularly reaching into the pews for the plate or handing out bulletins. No problems at all with conceal. Al

Since carrying in GA at a public gathering is illegal, and church or ANY church related functions are considered a public gathering - we in GA do not legally carry in church. Longing for the day when I can wear a Hawaiian shirt with my Glock underneath at church.

For services, P3AT front strong side pocket in a Hedley holster, for golf league rounds/BBQ's and Men's club functions, 3" 1911 in a supertuck.

I wear my expensive blue jeans or black slacks and carry my 1911 in my C-TAC. Sometimes I have a shirt tucked in and bloused. Sometimes it is not.

I almost always carry my third mag to church. Last Saturday I wore my OWB double mag pouch with a long tailed shirt. Other times, I have my third mag in my front, left pocket (second goes in rear, left pocket). If I could lawfully carry my Kalashnikov to church, I would, and it would probably be welcomed.

Wise I think, there are a lot of others that depend upon us old sheep dogs for protection.

I carry two extra 13 rd mags and a Kel Tec PF-9 as BUG.

All this in cargo shorts and an untucked polo shirt or Hawaiian shirt. Yeah, at Calvary Chapel we're a bit casual...oh well...

I don't go to church, but dressing up is dressing up. If I think I'll be doing alot of hugging, I'll wear a Galco shoulder harness or a Smartcarry...

I suppose it depends upon the quality of the church air conditioning, and your tolerance for heat. With good air conditioning, one can never go wrong with a suit and tie to conceal his favorite method of carrying. After all, who would ever suspect a member dressed like the preacher of packing.

P.S. All of this is said with the assumption that church carrying is permissible in your jurisdiction and church.
