belt holster for S&W mod 60 3" J frame
Anyone have a recomendation for a belt holster for a 3" model 60"?
Most of the ones Ive found for the snubs are closed bottom. Ive got a Uncle Mikes belt slide type with open bottom but Id rather have a nice leather one. |

My favorite belt holster for my J-frame is a Blackhawk CQC holster 'Check-Six'. Fits a 2" barrel but it has an open bottom which would accomodate a longer one. Has about a 45 degree cant. Give them a call.

I have two The Slide RH... one in black and one in brown. Drop me an email through my site if your interested. Use paypal or CC for shipping on Friday. The bottom is open and the holsters cover the whole barrel.

I prefer one made for the 3 inch barrel to one that has an open muzzle made for a shorter barrel.
One problem if you find on with an open muzzle is that I have not seen a snub that has a high front sight as has the M 60 3 inch. In addition the adj rear sight may not let the gun go fully into the holster. Whoever makes it be sure and confirm that they can make the sight track high enough to take the high front sight without scraping the top of the holster. That has been a problem for me with the M60 3 inch and another gun recently. Brock Morgan at Bluegrass Holsters made me one, and it is excellent and the sight track clears the front sight. You might check with him if you can contact him. Regards, Jerry |

Leather Gun Holster, Concealed carry holster, Simply Rugged, Proudly made in Alaska
Rob makes a great pancake holster for the J frames. I can't recommend him enough. I have one of his little Silverdollar pancakes for my 649 and one of his Sourdough Pancakes for my 3" 629. Great holsters. ![]() |
