Right about 4 o'clock works best for, right behind the hip.

But it might be different for you, need to experiment to find the best spot for you.

Where to wear an IWB holster

I go with 3-4 o'clock depending on belt loops of the pants.

While I carry at about the 3:30 (because of the spare tire) another forum that I go to a lot says the 1 to 2:00 position is a faster and less movement draw. I have played with this a home with a unloaded gun some and believe it to be so. Position to carry is different for everyone so where ever you find it to be comfortable and it doesn't print bad is the right place for you.

If I can ever lose the (roll over the belt front) I will be giving the in front of the hip positions a more serious look as I feel the draw movement is less noticeable

Male, female, lean, heavy, tall, short and so on? Take the firearm, clear it and double check it is unloaded, now take it in fireing grip, finger on frame and move it around belt line. You will find your sweet spot and then adjust slightly for best concealment, you might have to comprimize some. I use a Bulman AIWB, Sig 239, appendix carry
