3:30 to 4:00 depending on where the belt loops sit.

4:30 works best for me and my XD 45 4" service in a crossbreed super-tuck, 6' 4" 245lbs, yeh I know I need to drop about35 lbs. Tucks in close to the body and is comfortable when sitting.

About 4 or 5 o'clock with a K&D Dakota Defender. Best holster ever 2 clips.

I don't often wear one with a single clip. When I do, it rides about 3 o'clock strong side.

4 o'clock with my subcompact 9 or 10 o'clock with my snubbie. For some reason the crossdraw position is comfortable and quick for me with the snub. I've also found that a forward cant for the crossdraw works wonders for driving or other seated postures. Presently use a cheap Uncle Mikes #36 for the snub - comfortable but very difficult to re-holster. I use a Stellar Rigs kydex iwb for my 9 (extremely easy to put on and reholster)- comfortable fall through spring, but summer shorts and untucked t shirts expose the flab to the gun and the kydex --not the most comfortable feeling.
I would prefer to have a good leather vest holster, but $$$.
