Anyone carry a 5 inch 1911 IWB?

Just wondering who does. I picked up my first 1911 today and thought about getting a shell for my M-Tac. I was also thinking about just getting a OWB holster for it. Any thoughts? What would you do?

I sometimes carry a 5" Govt IWB in a Milt Sparks VMII. It is quite comfortable and concealable. I am not a big guy either.

You said you have an MTAC already. You can NEVER go wrong with that holster in my opinion. For $35 just get the extra body and go for it.

I haven't yet, but as soon as my Bluegrass holster gets here... I will every day (at least around the house until the permit arrives).

I do a lot in a Andrews MacDaniel II..

I really like the spring steel reinforcement plate that keeps the mouth open for easy holstering..

Good luck..

1911 iwb

I carry my 5" Colt or Wilson in one of my IWB's or a Del Fatti IWB.
When I don't, I carry a Glock 23 in a CompTac.

I normally carry a SA Micro-Compact in a Wild Bill’s Covert Carry but sometimes switch it for my PT1911 in a Wild Bill’s Summer Heat, carries and conceals well under an untucked shirt.
