Custom Kydex IWB (Ruger LCP)
I decided over the weekend to make an IWB holster for my LCP. I had seen a holster similar made by FIST and thought that it would be perfect for this gun.
It is a velcro clip on. This leaves you with infinite possibilities as to cant and ride height. I used an uncle mikes clip harvested off an old worn out holster and attached it to another piece of kydex, which is cut to the same shape as the clip. I then formed the kydex holster body and attached industrial strength velcro to it as well as the clip. Here are the results; ![]() ![]() |

Where do you get Kydex and what do you have to form it to the pistol? Damn nice looking rig by the way.

I get my kydex through knifekits.com, but you can even get it off e-bay and other sites as well. It is easy to form, just search my user name and there is a tutorial on this site.

Nice.
I made one sorta like that but molded my clip into it.

Good job. I did a similar thing and even used the same clip as you, but instead of kydex I'd originally used the same Uncle Mike's pouch.

nice holster ! I just got my CTAC in and realized i probably could have whipped up something like this myself. im interested in making a kydex holster for my J frame. and interesting thing i noted in the CTAC is in the trigger guard area they make two small "dimples" which im guessing provide that positive "snap" when you insert the firearm, I havent been able to try it yet but i'll let you know.
