Frustrated with holsters, help me pick one for my Glock 27.
Hello all.
I've tried 2 holsters in the past, both my galco. The royal guard and now currently the S.O.B: Galco holsters; Holsters; Gun holster, pistol holsters, western holsters, shoulder holsters, leather holster and Glock holsters I don't really care for it as it is uncomfortable when driving or sometimes even hard to draw. I am very thin at only 135lbs and about 5'11". I think I would like to continue to carry my Glock 27 as I think a bigger full size gun would be just to big and heavy for me to carry. I also don't wear big bulky clothes. Normally in the winter a t-shirt and sweatshirt and jacket. So I am thinking maybe something inside the pants holster. It seems from my limited browsing here most people like the Minotaur MTAC Holster. Are there any other similar products that I should consider? Thanks, Jason |

g-27 holster
last year i purchused a c-tac infedal holster for my 27. i too
have tryed quite a few holsters for it. it's iwb and the most comfortable one i have in the holster drawer. i think i payed around $40-50 for it. couple reasons. 1) decent holster. 2) decent price. 3)comfortable 4) and most important, they give you smarties. you'll hear good and bad about this as everyone has there fav. holster. same as picking out your edc. what ever works best for you. good luck in your search. ![]()

I would consider a COM3 IWB leather holster from HBE leatherworks. Good value, reasonable price, outstanding quality and short lead time. IWB with pants 1-2 inches more than normal in the waist band and a good belt and you'll be doing well. I would get a 20 degree can't to help with the ease of draw when driving. HBE makes the COM3 in a closed muzzle version. This makes it more comfortable for shorter barrelled weapons. Hope you find what works.
P.S. Someday consider a thinner profile gun. For thinner guys like us, the thickness becomes much more of a comfort and concealability issue than it does for big guys. A Kahr, 1911 format, etc., are all much much thinner which makes a BIG difference. You do loose some capacity but you may find the trade off to be quite worth it. |

I was actually thinking about a Khar 9mm which is .90" wide.
My glock is 1.18" wide. Honestly I don't know if I would switch to another pistol. They are on my list to look at though. |

Does anyone have a Tucker "Answer" holster they can comment on compared to the MTAC? I did see one in the pictures section. They look about the same I guess.

You have the wrong SOB holster, first thing.
Check out Fist holsters...through the 'Related Links' above. I use to types of Fist holsters, both IWB...the #1A (with a body protector), and a comfortable SOB/IWB...#41...this SOB is a 'palm out' draw. I use the #41 SOB for several of my 45's...and when I take my Glock-36 on my Harley, I hardly know the gun is there. I can sit, stand, walk, and even lay on the couch...the gun disappears. I also know several other friends who use the same holster with the same success. The palm out draw keeps the weapon's grip over my kidney. I wear it at 5 o'clock, not directly over the spine. Worn with an open shirt, it's any easy draw...the wind blows the shirt off the hip, no gun can be seen...perfect! The Fist SOB #41, is the holster that I find the MOST comfortable of all my holsters. ![]() Stay armed...stay comfortable...stay safe!
