well i am back to the factory middle holes so the kydex is just above the waistline. man, i'll be messing with this thing forever till i get 'er right. the only thing i don't like about this holster is for smaller guns they don't need that much leather at the bottom of the holster. That isn't needed for subcompacts. I would have preferred the leather to be cut just a little lower than the kydex. I guess that is for guy carrying bigger pistols.

I carry my G19 in an MTAC and love it. I'm not as thin as you but I can't carry right on my hip bone either. I'm usually just a little forward of that, maybe at 2:45 or so.

My MTAC is set up with the screw through the middle hole of the front clip and the second hole from the bottom on the back clip. So, using your pic as a reference, all you'd do is raise your back clip by one screw hole.

This lets it sit low in my pants while still allowing enough room between my belt and the grip to actually be able to grab the gun quickly. It also cants it forward so the grip sits tighter against my side.

Alos, depending on the shirt, I think the MTAC conceals better tucked that untucked.

I went to the range and shot with my new xs big dots and they work pretty well. I like the added contol and grip with the extensions but for carry and concealment, maybe without the extension is the way to go.
Yeah, I carry XD SC (upper left in avatar pic); I put extension on it, and even filed it down to the bare minimum (no "point"); but it still likes to poke out in shirt. Amazing what a diff just that little bit makes. I carry it with just the stock 10 round mag now.

Well, you can always cut some off, eh?

Also, once you're sure how to set depth/cant, you can cut off the bottom of the clips that extend below the leather.

I don't have that gun (or holster) but I'd consider raising the front clip for more forward cant before I called it a go.

It should wear itself in eventually, and it will vary based on body type and position, but in the meantime you'll find that a subtle clockwise twist (grip towards your body) will release the pistol easily. At least that works for most of us who have trouble with "sticky" MTACs.
I just finished replying to a friend whose new MTAC won't let his 1911 outta the slide. Mine did the same thing, to the point that it was locked in and with both hands you couldn't pull it out. What finally worked for me (because I refused to have to add an additional movement to my draw cycle that I might forget if pressed) was to use a Dremel with extreme caution to lower the bump that holds the trigger guard, thus allowing it to draw normally. Didn't take much, and the combined pressure on the leather side, along with the remaining bump, is very sufficient to allow normal hold of the weapon in the holster. Now, I use the MTAC for my Glock 19 right now, and the bump on it never gave me an issue. I suspect that's because of the wider, more gradually rolled trigger guard versus the 1911.

You could have done the same thing with a heat gun. Kydex moves easily with heat. Then if after awhile you need to adjust it tighter you can do that.

The sticking doesn't really occur anymore if draw with my thumb over the rear sight. I guess that helps me pull it out strait instead of canting it while drawing.
I did the upside down test. I put the gun in the holster and adjusted the tension screws until i can have the gun stay put while holding the holster upside down. Works fine now.

That's why I only have 3 fingers on the left hand now-from the last time I tried that....
