That's still an area for State's rights. The state sets the CCW las and standards and I doubt highly that any amount of federal regulation can go beyond the state's right to govern itself. Not to mention, in a state like FL with over 700,000 CCW holders, they stand to lose about $52.5 million dollars in revenue from the $75 renewal fee. That revenue goes directly to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The group that helps the citrus farmers when they have a bad year and the people who investigate price gouging during a hurricane among other consumer issues. They won't likely change their stance.

I ordered a Regulator about 10-12 days ago when the web site estimate was 3-4 weeks. Wait time was a factor in ordering one. I think that once people are aware, orders will go up.

i would have to guess that fine custom holsters are not on the top of our lists right now, at least thats the case for me; ammo and lots of it, hi-cap mags and "evil black rifles" are at the top.

Well Nate, I feel ya. I have managed to keep busy, but have noticed a slow down also. I hope things pick up soon.
Nate your a good dude, I'm sure you will get those orders up in no time. It's kinda like riding a wave. Seems fine until your at the top of the wave, then you wonder how the heck your gonna get down. (I guess,,,,Maybe? I tried.)

It'll pickup again soon. I think right now priorities are shifted toward the upcoming holiday season where what holster you have isn't as important as what the kids want from Santa. You still have to give them the best you can even when you might sacrifice that new leather

I'll tell you how I dealt with all of this, because many of my liberal family members did not deal well with the past several months:
  • I made it a point to make extra principal payments on my mortgage; I never got into any "home equity loans" or anything like that. I managed our credit and only borrowed what we could pay back. Also, I stayed in our house for 15 years, despite all the threats from my wife of death and divorce if we did not move, but I refused to buy in a high real estate market.
  • During the last year and a half, I began fixing up our previous house to get it ready for sale. I watched the mortgage foreclosure rate begin to climb and figured that we could do something around the end of this year. I was sort of right on that one.
  • As I mentioned previously, I held our credit down as much as possible and paid cash when I could.

And here is how the fiscal responsibility paid off:
  • I ate significantly into the principal debt on our house; when we sold our previous home, I more than doubled the money.
  • The new home we bought was actually an estate sale being run by one of my fathers' business partners; he had originally planned to turn it over to a realtor but panicked when the market started melting down in January. we made him an offer and he took it, inking a contract the following week.
  • I took my economic stimulus check and put it towards our closing costs and moving. The rest that was left over I invested in another AR-15.....

So the bad economy to me only served as the free markets reindexing themselves. I benefitted hugely from it because I was able to sell high and buy low. Since I didn't buy into the spend, spend philosophy of the previous decade, I was able to hold costs down and benefit our family tremendously.

I think these lessons are lessons that everybody is going to relearn here pretty soon......

I can only speak for myself, and although I would like some new leather, currently I'm investing in metals: brass, copper, lead, and steel. And polymer.

I do not expect exorbitant taxes or restrictions on leather anytime soon, but the others... perhaps.

Right now I'm putting together a second range bag for my non firearm friends.
Bag, electronic muffs, wiley x glasses, ammo etc. I'm sure they'll catch the bug
just like the rest of us... the accessories plus shipping add up fast don't It

Plus saving up for a GP100 or SP101 is taking most of my spare funds!

My honest guess is that it has more to do with the election. Maybe a combination of both.
