I have personally had great customer service experiences with Galco. I also always call to place my order. Sorry to hear about that.
Also, as some above have mentioned, the M7X Matrix is a great holster for the money. I like mine a lot for my XD9SC, I just wish they made one for my G36. -Jeff- |

The best thing about Galcos are you can usually see and feel them in the shops. They are an assembly line holster, and don't hold a candle to the custom makers, but you can get one fast.

I have used Galco holsters for the last 20 years, I like the Royal guard.

There are many quality holsters on the market and finding exactly what you want may take you to any number of them. In my many years of carrying the only holster to have really disappointed me was a Don Hume...partly for personal reasons. There may be reasons to go with another holster maker other than Galco, but quality isn't one of them. |

That's why they make different kinds of chocolate.
There's a reason why no wait for some makers, and six months for others!

I have a couple. They aren't nearly as well made as a good custom, even though they cost nearly as much or even more sometimes.
The upside, is that most models are generally immediately available somewhere in the retail chain. Joe |

Just curious what kind of problem you had with Don Hume. I used Hume holsters for just the same reason mentioned by the OP (waiting for a custom). My only gripe is the lack of a reinforced mouth on the PCCH IWB holster. It's comfortable, but sucked for IDPA since it would collapse on reholstering. I substituted one of their belt clip IWB (H715-M) and bent the clip to allow a 15° cant. I was at a gun show yesterday and they had a table of Galco holsters, all out of packages and unmarked. I asked about price and was told $150-$200. I was tempted to ask if that was each or for the whole table ;)Regards, Michael |
