Holsters designed specifically for women...
Hi everyone,
I'm doing a little private research & want to know -- which holstermakers are producing holster designs which are specifically intended for women? (Please note, I am not asking who makes holsters that women can use! There are a lot of good holsters & holstermakers out there. I'm asking about the marketing. I want names of companies that are producing holsters which are marketed to women.) Rusty Sherrick, for instance, has the Ladies High Ride and Ladies Extreme High Ride. (OWB high ride.) FIST has the LADYFIST series. (OWB high ride.) Who else? Thanks, pax

I guess I couldn't say it is specifically marketed to women, but the PMK made by Milt Sparks was specifically designed for the needs of a woman...you can read that narrative at their website.

I admire your work so during the next few days I'm going to search that out for you. At LFI we had several women do well and they had to wear leather so I'm going to e=mail and ask.

Kramer has the Women's Belt Scabbards, Rusty Sherrick has a Women's line as well.

Holsters for women......
Here is a builder who specifically builds for women:
Cunningham Custom Holsters - holsters She has various designs, belts, mag pouches, etc. intended for women. I currently do not offer a holster specifically for women but I do modify my holsters to suit the individual woman.

While not exactly "made" for women, Dave at Little Bear was kind enough to scale down one of his standard holsters for me. He sent me a prototype, which I wore for a while and then suggested some changes to (basically shortening the overall width so that it would fit between belt loops). He was great to work with and very thorough and detailed.

I also modify existing patterns for the individual female client. it usually takes longer to make the adjustments necessary but the results appear worthwhile based on client feedback.
